What are zinc castings like
We use mainly ZP0410 zinc alloy according to ES 12844 for zinc castings. This alloy has an excellent castability and it is suitable for sections with complicated shape. Castings are produced by means of pressure die casting in the machines with heat chamber with high number of injections. Wear of the mould in this process is only negligible; the moulds can be used in more than 1 million cycles without any problems. Excellent castability of zinc alloys enables to reach very accurate dimensions and good quality of castings surface, which allows their galvanizing and lacquering with only minimal demand of further working.
